Jharparks

Establishment:

Jharparks is an autonomous body under the Department of Forests, Environment and Climate Change, Govt. of Jharkhand. This body was created vide resolution no. 1511 dated 20.03.2015 of department of Forests, Environment and climate change, Govt. of Jharkhand. Its objective was to create, develop and maintain different types of parks in urban areas of Jharkhand and to provide clean and pollution free environment and also to make people aware about environmental pollution and ecological conservation.
Jharparks is registered under societies registration act XXI of 1860 and is run as per the provisions of Jharkhand Udhayan Samiti rules 2015 .
Presently Jharparks is maintaining two parks i.e. Sido Kanhu Park, Ranchi and Nakshatra Van, Ranchi since 25th May 2018.

Management Details:

Similarly, in the state, for the management of the gardens, separate and independent Jharkhand Garden Committee (Jharparks) has been set up in the State by the resolution No. 1511 dated -20.03.2015.

A total of 36 posts are approved for the operation of Jharparks and currently the following 3 officers are working:

• 1. Director-cum-Chief Executive Officer
• 2. Deputy Director
• 3. Assistant Director

On the basis of deputation / contract basis, the recruitment process is being done for the remaining posts.
Jharparks are being started to operate Sido Kanhu Park and Nakshatra forest in Ranchi from Financial Year 2018-19.
