Research & Training

Research & Training wing of the Forest Department is headed by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Research & Training. Under his administrative control there are two Chief Conservator of Forests namely Chief Conservator of Forests, Training & Chief Conservator of Forests, Research. Chief Conservator of Forests, Training looks after the training and capacity building  whereas Chief Conservator of Forests, Research is monitoring  research in general.

Research Wing :

Research Wing of the Jharkhand Forest Department comprises of two circles :-

i)    Plantation, Research  & Evaluation
ii)    State Silviculturist

Plantation, Research  & Evaluation circle is under the administrative control of the Conservator of Forests, Plantation, Research  & Evaluation and State Silviculturist circle is under the administrative control of Conservator of Forests & State, Silviculturist.

Training Wing :

In Jharkhand Forest department, all the training and capacity building programmes are carried out by three forest training schools. They are :-

1. Forester & Forest guard Training School, Mahilong, Ranchi
2. Forester & Forest guard Training School, Hazaribagh
3. Forester & Forest guard Training School, Chaibasa
