Jharkhand State Forest Development Corporation Ltd is a state public sector undertaking of Jharkhand state, an agency for collection and trade of kendu leaves (KL) in the state as well as purchase and sale of timber of specified species and other minor forest produce. Incorporated in 2002, it carries out its functions as per Jharkhand Rajya Kendu Patta Niti, 2015. It facilitates the collection and sale of kendu leaf in a transparent, competitive and participative method generating livelihood opportunity to marginalized community across the state. JSFDC shares substantial part of net profit out of kendu leave sale proceeds with primary collectors and kendu leaf committees

• Departmental collection of kendu leaf, subject to board of directors and Government approval.
• Coppicing of kendu
• Repairing of existing godowns
• Construction of 10 new godowns
• Confidence building measures with traders from other states.
• Regular visits by officers to different states for marketing (done in both 2020 and 2021)
• Kendu conclave at state level for discussion amongst various stakeholders  ( done in both 2020 and 2021)
• Training for Processing of Kendu Leaves to Primary Collectors
• Fast payment of collection cost
• Payment of incentive to the primary collectors in timely manner
• Disposal of old stocks of kendu leaf
