The Human Resource Development wing of the department, headed by the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Human Resource Development (HRD) is responsible for the training and development of its employees.

    The role of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF) HRD (Human Resource Development) in the Forest Department of Jharkhand is critical for the development and management of the department's human resources.

    The HRD wing is responsible for the following functions :

    1. Recruitment and Selection: The HRD wing is responsible for managing the recruitment and selection process of forest department personnel, ensuring that the best candidates are selected for the job.

    2. Performance Management: The HRD wing oversees the performance management system of the forest department, ensuring that performance appraisals are conducted regularly and fairly.

    3. Training and Development: This wing designs and implements training and development programs for forest department personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge in forest management, conservation, and protection.

    4. Capacity Building: It works to build the capacity of forest department personnel, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

    5. Career Planning: The wing assists in the career planning of forest department personnel, helping them identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop plans for professional growth and advancement.

    6. Policy Development: It plays a critical role in developing policies related to human resource management in the forest department, ensuring that they are in line with national policies and guidelines.
